NO SHOW/CANCELLATION NOTE

If a patient no shows to your clinic, you can write a “No show/cancellation note,” this will then document that the patient had an appointment that day and they did not come.

Go to Notes (bottom tab) => New Note (bottom left side of screen) => No show/cancellation note
-I have a template that states “patient no showed to primary care appointment scheduled on today’s date.” I filled this template then Sign the note. This will record that the patient did not come for a scheduled appointment

I also recommend sending a test results notification letter to the patient:

1. Click on the box directly next to the patient’s name, Select New Visit (Please select the appropriate administrative encounter for your work site)
    a. Lak Admin Clinic
    b. TPA Admin

2. Click on Notes tab => New Note

3. Make sure that it is an administrative encounter so that the letter sends.

4. Select “Test results notification” as a note title

5. Select the Name/Address of the patient, select what you reviewed (labs, imaging, etc.) or Free type what you want to send to the patient or insert a template.

You missed your appointment scheduled on *****************
Please call the clinic to reschedule at your earliest convenience. The phone
number is 555-555-5555.

We look forward to taking care of your primary care needs.

6. Once you are done, Sign the letter. The letter will then print to a central location and will be sent automatically to the patient

***I suggest you make a template such to send these letters easily. I also have another template that tells them to get labs prior if they did not have labs done
