Elevated LFTs

1. acute hepatitis panel--complete profile will give us the Hep B core antibody value which we need as missing piece to Hep B testing
2. celiac disease panel
3. CPK value to rule out muscle involvement
4. GGTP level
5. ferritin (exclude hemochromatosis),
6. Alpha 1 Antitrypsin,
7. ceruloplasmin,
8. ANA,
9. and annual AFP/liver sonogram since hepatic steatosis is risk factor in cirrhosis and hepatic cancers.

=> If abnormalities in the above, would refer to GI clinic for further evaluation.
=> If negative, then would encourage weight loss, avoid hepatotoxins, and avoid alcohol.
